Norman County, Minnesota
Halvor Kroshus and his wife Christy (Kjersti) settled in Norman County MN in the late 1870's. He would become one of the largest and most successful farmers in the county.
His sister Anna and brother Albert joined him in Norman County, married and made their homes in the same community
Halvor Anderson (Kroshus) had extensive holdings in Mary Township. John and Anne (Kroshus) Gaare lived in the same section of Lee Township that was home to Bethania Church. After her husband's death, Marie Kroshus and her children lived with her father Gjert and brother George in section 24 of Lee Township.
